Information for artists
You are a comic artist and you think comicstills is a good thing?
Here is what you can do to participate:
»
Mail us some samples of your work, questions or suggestions to info@comicstills.com.
»
Both parts - the artist and comicstills - sign a contract, whereby the artist
has the right to declare certain conditions, e.g. whether images may be used for advertising
purposes or whether panels may be cropped.
»
You (the artist) and/or your publisher provide us with the images, preferably in digital
form and at the highest resolution possible.
»
We enter your work into our database using various criteria. In order to avoid whole
comic books to be read or downloaded in one piece, no comic book will be represented in complete
pages in the database. Nor will the user be able to scroll through a whole book chronologically.
In addition, every single image is protected by a watermark.
»
In case of a client buying a licence for a panel or sequence, the artist/publisher receives
a percentage of the paid price. The prices depend on the image’s size, the publication’s
circulation and the way of utilization.
